National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited Recruitment Notification 2012-2013
NHPC Limited is a central government established company in 1975. Initially NHPC was named as National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited, but after few years its name changed to NHPC Ltd. NHPC Ltd develop the power through conventional and non conventional sources in India. Government of India has awarded to NHPC Ltd with Mini Ratna Category-I status.
Government of India has started a scheme named as ‘Electricity to All’ under the Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY). Currently NHPC is executing the project of ‘Electricity to All’ in the states of Odisha, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar and Chhattisgarh to electrifying the 31000 villages.
Under this project, NHPC needs Engineers and Junior Engineers in the electrical discipline for the rural electrification, distribution and sub-transmission system in J&K state. These vacant posts are filled through the Walk-In-Interview. It should be noted that, the appointment for the posts is for fixed tenure up to 30/06/2013. Tenure duration may be extended up to the completion of the project.
There are total 41 posts to be recruited in which 21 vacancies are for Engineers and 20 posts are for Jr. Engineer. Age of the aspirants must not be more than 30 years as on July 31st 2012. Age relaxation and reservation is also applicable as per government rules. Selected candidates for the posts of Engineers and Jr Engineers will be paid Rs 18150/- and Rs 9680/- pm respectively as salary. Other allowances are also paid as per rules.
Candidates may be posted at Leh & Kargil, but they will get 30% more salary.
The educational qualification for the Engineer is BE/ B Tech in Electrical discipline and for Junior Engineer Diploma in Electrical discipline. Graduation or Diploma must be in regular form.
