As earlier years, this year too IOCL is going to recruit the Graduate Engineers (Officers)/Executive Trainee (ET) and Assistant Graduate Engineers. IndianOil has declared by releasing a short advertisement cum notification that in this year it will recruit GETs and Assistant Officers through GATE-2014 organized by IITs. The vacant posts of Management Trainee (MT) are in the disciplines of Chemical / Civil / Computer Science and Information Technology / Electrical / Instrumentation / Mechanical / Metallurgy and Assistant Engineers are in the disciplines of Chemical / Civil / Electrical/ Instrumentation / Mechanical / Metallurgy.

IOCL will accept GATE-2014 score card for the initial recruitment in place of written test. This year there will not be any written test for ET/AET profession. After short listing from the GATE 2014 score card candidates may undergo a group discussion (GD) followed by Personal Interview (PI).

It should be noted that from this year IOCL and some other PSUs like HPCL, BPCL, NTPC, BHEL and PGCIL, GAIL, MECL etc is also using GATE 2014 score card for the appointment of the Graduate Engineers Trainee (GET)/ Management Trainee (MT). 

Executive Trainees will be placed in the initial pay scale of Rs 24900-50500/-pm as salary. Other incentives and allowances are also applicable as it is a group ‘A’ post. Candidates must be in the maximum age group of 25 years.

Interested candidates are requested to appear for GATE-2014, without which you can’t participate in the recruitment process of HPCL and some other PSUs.
