Tax Return Preparers Scheme (TRPS) by Income Tax Department

Income Tax Department (I.T.D.), Department of Revenue, Government of India has issued a notification for giving an opportunity to the young and dynamic Indian graduates to become certified Tax Return Preparers (TRPs) across the country. Income Tax Department in partnership with NIIT & TAXMANN intends to train a fresh batch (Batch-II) of 5000 graduates as TRPs across the country. The TRPs will be authorized to prepare Income Tax Returns for individual and HUF taxpayers. All the graduates who successfully complete the training will be issues a certificate and a Unique Identification Number which will authorize them to work as self-employed Tax Return Prepares. The cost of Training will be borne by Income Tax Department. Through this unique opportunity you can work from your hometown and earn money.

All the interested fresh graduates from India can apply for the training. All the applications will be scrutinized on the basis of the marks in graduation. All the shortlisted candidates will go through a written test. Those candidates who qualify the examination will be trained in various locations across India. Total 5000 (five thousand) are vacant seats for training in 25 states/ UTs of India.

• Prepare and file Returns of individual and HUF taxpayers
• Prepare and file quarterly TDS statements
• Register as e-Return Intermediaries

Eligibility Criteria-

Qualification:  Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Commerce, Business Administration or Business Management

Age:              21-35 Years as on 1^st April 2012

Remuneration/ Salary-   TRPs will be paid 3% of the tax paid for preparing and filling the first year’s return of new tax payers.

How to Apply-                Eligible candidates have to apply online on the TRPS website given bellow

Application Fee-           Application fee is Rs 100/- can be paid through Challan/ offline of any State Bank of India Branch or through Payment Gateway/ Online by Credit Card/ Debit card.
