IIT-Kanpur has the vacancy for the post of Project Engineer and Project Associate. These vacancies are filled through an open recruitment. 

The descriptions of the posts are as follows-

Project Engineer

            Pay Scale: Rs. 22,000-2200-44,000/-

            No. of Vacancies: 01

            Qualification: M. Tech or B. Tech + 3 years experience with either Computer Science or

Information Technology or Equivalent as the major

Project Associate

            Pay Scale: Rs. 15,000-1500-30,000/-

            No. of Vacancies: 01

Qualification: B. Tech or M. Sc with either Computer Science or Information Technology or

                        Equivalent as the major

Note: Preference will be given to the candidates having background in Mobile Computing/Wireless networks and proficiency in programming C. Knowledge of network simulator such as NS-2 and/or TOSSIM will be an added advantage.
