RITES Ltd, a Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways and an engineering consultancy company was set up in 1974 be central government to provide consultancy especially in the fields of rail management. RITES operates India and abroad. RITES Limited has executed projects in more than 62 countries across the world including Iran, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Jamaica, and Kenya. It not only provides rail management but also works in the fields of transport, infrastructure and related technologies of Metro Rail Systems, Railways, Highways, Airports, Ports & Harbour etc. RITES Ltd has its corporate office at Gurgaon, India.

RITES has issued a recruitment notice in the official portal for conducting an competitive examination for the recruitment to the posts of Graduate Engineer Trainees (GET). Total 67 posts are vacant which are tentative right now and may vary depending upon the further vacancies. These GETs are recruited in the fields of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Architecture, Information Technology, Metallurgy & Chemical Engineering, and Signal &Telecommunication Engineering (S&T)/Electronics Engineering. These GETS will be placed for different projects.

Number of Vacancies:

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must be engineering graduate in the relevant disciplines i.e. Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Architecture/ Metallurgy or Chemical/ Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from a reputed institution recognized by government. For the IT stream Computer Science/ Information Technology/ MCA are eligible.

Age Limit:

Age limit of the applicant to apply for the posts should not exceeds 30 years as on 1^st Aug 2012. Candidates must be minimum 21 years in age too as on 1^st Aug 2012. Age relaxation is also admissible as per government rules.

Compensation Package:

Appointed GETs will get Rs. 20600-46500/- during one year training period. After successfully completed training, all the incumbent GETs will be placed as Assistant Manager and be deputed in the pay scale of Rs. 20600-46500/- per month. Other allowances will also be paid. Total approx CTC will be Rs 10 Lakhs per annum.

Application Fee:

Examination Fee for the general and OBC category is Rs 500/- and for the SC/ST, it is Rs 100/- through demand draft drawn in favour of ‘RITES Ltd’ payable at ‘Gurgaon’. Persons With Disability are exempted from the fee payment.

Selection Process:

Selection will be based on the written examination followed by Interview/ Personality Test. Written test will be on 25^th Nov 2012 at various centers of Bangalore, Bhopal, Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Ranchi.

Written test will be in two parts. First is General Test, next one is Engineering disciplinary test. Only those copies of second test will be evaluated who qualify with minimum cut off marks in first test. Final selection is made on the basis of written examination marks of the second part and marks of Interview.
