Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has initiated a scholarship program for the first year students of 10+/ITI, MBA, Engineering (BE/ B Tech), MBBS. This great initiative is taken by IOCL for motivation of the students and promotion of education in India. IOCL is going to offer scholarships for 2600 students across the nation. IndianOil scholarship scheme is for students of 11th standard in schools, ITI aspirants, graduate and post graduate students.
India Oil Corp will create a merit list for the selection of candidates for scholarship on the basis of Marks in previous year and family income of the applicants. The selected candidates will be awarded Rs 1000/- per month for 10+/ITI students and 3000/- per month for graduates and post graduates as scholarship.
For the 10+/ITI, numbers of scholarships are distributed state-wise and for the graduates and post graduates (PG) in professional courses (BE/ B Tech/ MBBS/ MBA) numbers of scholarships are distributed zone wise (North, South, East West zone), based on the number of students appear in last year session 2011-2012 in respective courses. Eligibility:
Applicant must be admitted in the year 2012 for full time/regular courses (not correspondence or distance mode) in these streams & studying in Schools / Colleges / Institutions / Universities recognized by MCI / AICTE / State Education Boards / State Govt. / ICSE / ISC / CBSE / Central Govt. / Association of Indian universities. Students having confirmed admission in the first year of full time Engineering degree course (minimum 4 years), MBBS (minimum 4 years), MBA (minimum 2 years) are eligible to apply. Students of two years full time/regular courses (not correspondence or distance mode) post graduate courses in Business Administration/Management recognized by Central/State Govt./Association of Indian universities and which are equivalent to MBA, are eligible for Management stream scholarship. For 10+/ITI stream (minimum 2 years), students of 11th standard as well as those in the 1st year of 2 years ITI course are eligible to apply.
One another most important eligibility condition for the applicants is that the total annual income of family of the candidates (from all the sources) must not exceed to Rs 100000/-.
Age limit:
Age of the candidate should be between 15 to 30 years as on 3rd July 2012. Person must not be born before 3rd July 1982 and not after 3rd July 1997.
