Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) is a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking under the Central Government is engaged in the transmission of Electricity across India. PGCIL is also working for Telecom National Long Distance (NLD) operator & Internet Service Provider with about 25000 Km Optical Fibre Network. Power Grid Corp is carrying 50% workload of power generation and transmission of electricity of India across the nation.
PGCIL issued an advertisement in its official website for the requirement of field Engineers and Field supervisors in the Civil and Electrical disciplines. This requirement is for its transmission utility in the state of Jharkhand. The posts are vacant and filled purely on temporary (contract) basis for the duration of 2 years or till the project will not be completed.

Minimum Age Limit: 18-29 Years as on 17th Sept 2012
Experience: Minimum one year in relevant field.
Pay Scale: Field Engineers (FEs) will be paid a consolidated amount of Rs 30000/- pm and Field Supervisors (FSs) will be paid consolidates Rs 23000/- pm as a salary during first year. Rs 3000/- and Rs 2500/- will be increased in the second year for the FEs (Rs 33000/- after increase) and FSs (Rs 25500/- after increase) respectively.
Application Fee: For FEC Rs 200/- and for FSC and FSE Rs 100/- is the application fees in the form of crossed Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of “POWER GRID CORPORATION OF INDIA LTD.” payable at PATNA.
