Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited (HECL) is a Public Sector Undertaking under the Government of India, set up in 1958 for the purpose of manufacturing and supplying capital equipments and project execution. HEC is one of the largest engineering enterprises. Its head office is located at Ranchi, capital of Jharkhand. HECL is mainly divided into four units/ departments- Heavy Machine Building Plant (HMBP), Foundry Forge Plant (FFP), Heavy Machine Tools Plant (HMTP), Projects Division. HECL is awarded 9001:2008 company status.

Currently HR division of the HECL has issued a notification regarding to the recruitment of various technical and non technical executive level posts for fresh graduates. HEC Ltd India invites online applications. There are total 92 vacancies for the posts of Executive Trainee (ET) in the disciplines of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, Law, HR. Eligibility, Qualification and Age limit:

Qualification:          For Technical disciplines- candidates must be BE/ B Tech in the following disciplines with minimum 60 % AVERAGE marks. Final year students can also apply.

Age Limit:                    29 Years as on 1^st July 2012. Candidates must not be born before 1^st July 1983. (Age relaxation is also applicable as per rules)

Selection Procedure:

For the technical discipline, selection will be made on the basis of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering-2012 (GATE-2012) and performance in Personal Interview. GATE score will be weighted as 75% and Personal Interview will be weighted as 25%.

For non Technical discipline, a written examination will be conducted, after qualifying it, they will be called for PI. The written test question paper will comprise of 150 questions of 2 segments namely Aptitude Test comprising of 50 questions in Reasoning, Mathematics & English and the second segment i.e. the Professional Test comprising of 100 questions in the respective professional field.

Application Fee:           For General and OBC examination fee is Rs 500/- in the Bank pay in slip (Challan) of State Bank of India (SBI). SC/ ST/ PH applicants are exempted from the payment of Fee.
