Central Power Research Institute also known for its short name as CPRI is a Society of Government of India, under the Ministry of Power. It is also said about CPRI that it is the power house of the Indian electrical industry. CPRI was established by Government in the year 1960 for an aim of developing a research unit of electrical power in India, to maintain supply reliable, uninterrupted and quality services to the consumers. CPRI has seven departments/ units across India.

These all units are centralized by CPRI which is headed in Bangalore. CPRI also acts as the National Testing & Certification Authority and the apex body for initiating and coordinating Research and Development (R&D).

CPRI has recently advertized two notifications regarding to the recruitment of the vacant posts in UHVRL, Hyderabad (Advt No. CPRI/01/2012),and in CPRI Bangalore (Advt No. CPRI/02/2012) itself.

UHVRL, Hyderabad (Advt No. CPRI/03/2012)

CPRI has released this advertisement for the appointment of the Project Associates in the field of Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. This appointment is totally on temporary basis for the execution of Projects/Consultancy/Field Works for SCADA/DMS Consultancy Projects under R-APDRP in Puducherry and various Districts of Andhra Pradesh. Period for the appointment is 2 years which may extend depending upon the status of the project.

Project Associates-

Electronics & Communication- 1 post

Qualification: Degree in Electrical Engineering or ECE with minimum two years post qualification experience in Electric Utility/Power Industry in the area of SCADA/Substation Automation/Utility Communications/Networking either in Engineering or Field Installation & Commissioning.

Remuneration: Consolidated Rs.16000/- pm as salary.

Age: Applicant must not be crossed the maximum age limit of 30 years.

UHVRL, Hyderabad (Advt No. CPRI/01/2012)

CPRI is carrying various civil engineering projects in Hyderabad. For the completion of these projects, CPRI is to recruit the civil engineering graduates for the posts of Project Associate. This recruitment is only for contract basis. The period of project will be of two years, which may be extendable for one.

There are total two vacant posts for the Project Associates. The selected aspirants will get Rs 16000/- + 30& HRA per month as remuneration.

CPRI is expecting from the applicants that candidates must be BE/ B Tech first class degree in Civil Engineering with at least one year post qualification experience in structural work/ High rise building conversant with CPWD norms. Computer knowledgeable persons will be preferred.
